Hi, since the whole Snowden/NSA sadness started I find my thoughts returning to views every so often, and why gmail's views work well while aox' views are not usable.
I've known they aren't usable for a while, but not been able to find out why. After all, they can do everything. But maybe it's simple: They're just too flexible. It seems much easier to do someting useful if views can be restricted to be like in gmail: "Archive contains all the threads in in mailbox x where at least one message has the archived flag", "Inbox contains all the messages in mailbox x where at least one message does not have the seen flag", etc. Correct me if I am wrong. PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. Are any of you actually using views and getting something useful out of them? Arnt
