Hi Ron, I'm the student that will work on rewriting the Sequence Diagram subsystem. In spite of being rewritten, please use the bug tracking system[1] for adding the problems that you find if they are not documented.
It will be a good way to assure that the problems are not repeated when the new implementation finishes. Anyway, you can follow the new subsystem here: http://argouml-sequence.tigris.org/ There's no much code yet, but maybe it will be useful for you to subscribe to the mailing lists.
