It's a known bug: http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=3411 For exporting to an image, you can try changing the last value of the bounds in the presentation tab when a Classifier role is selected. Guide you by the lines shadow. The diagram will not be updated, but the exported image will be of the selected size. Hope this helps.
Like most users, I guess that I am never sure if it is a bug or just something that happened because of a mistake that I made. The add and remove space commands do not work like I expected and only seem to work within a calling sequence whereas the might be a lot more useful outside a calling sequence to separate 2 calling sequences that that one want to appear on the same chart.
