I'm sorry I wasn't very clear, when I said the jvm just dies, I mean't the process stops running. when i run ps to check the running process, I don't see java process running. I tried deploying the avalon-demo.sar and it deploys fine, but once thats done, java just stops running. I don't get any exceptions or core dumps. I hope I'm clearer now. if you need additional information, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

You are going to have to give us more information to help you. Is there a
stack trace or core or somethign? If so could you send it and what do you
mean the "jvm just dies afterwards"

Hello All,
I just downloaded avalon but I've been unable to run it on my mac.
I've tried running it with both java 1.3 and 1.4 with no success.
whenever I execute the phoenix startup scrip, it launches and deploys
the SAR files and the jvm just dies afterwards. I would really
appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction.
