My little example could definitely be improved. The point was to stir up some ideas and conversation about Avalon in Struts and web apps in general. Seems like i've succeeded in that at least. :)
Well you did and I see there is a lot of thougths going on on the integrations of Avalon and Struts. I think I'm gonna push in the fortress example in my work. Then I just have one Servlet. After that I maybe write a JNDI wrapper for a default fortress Container. See where that ends up.
At least I'm not the only one using this combination :-)
