Mozilla's APIs were changing all the time, that's why the spellchecker sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. It's likely that the next minor version of Beonex Communicator can use the spellchecker of Netscape 7 final. You might be able to use the independently developed spellchecker available at <http://spellchecker.mozdev.org>. This is untested and unsupported, though.
