Since it is a server, is SELinux enforced on it? That might interfere
with Java trying to set-up a listening port.
You can temporarily turn SELinux off by becoming root and execute:
echo 0 > /selinux/enforce
To turn SELinux on again, you run:
echo 1 > /selinux/enforce
Otherwise, I also don't know.
