AFAIK Mozilla Firebird is the first version of the modularized Mozilla and is not as stable as the monolithic version 1.4. But using the installer version of the Suite, you can remove the pieces you don't need (IRC, Mail, ...).

Konqueror just shows the whole document as one piece of plain text smashed together, and it's fairly primitive anyway (no tabbed browsing, etc.). I don't know what Konqueror 3.1 added, but I doubt it gained much in functionality.
I also just installed Opera 7.11 for Linux and, while the the interface is pretty good overall, I just realized it does the same thing as Konqueror--that is, it smashes all the XML data into 1 big piece of plain text. This is not a workable solution for when I want to serialize in XML to debug, which I do most of the time.
Any suggestions?
