Hello Jalene, The simple answer is that you do this in a query.
For examples you could look at the OOoForum site. I did a search for 'calculated fields' and found amongst the returned threads this one: ( Calculated Fields ) http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=40852 It shows the basic idea - there are quite a few examples actually.
