Yes, you would need to export query results, which is somewhat
laborious. In fact, there's no direct export. You could either use a
roundabout way via Calc - copy the query results to Calc, and export
from there -, or some direct SQL statement (in Tools/SQL) using the
SELECT INTO TEXT command.

That should be possible using sub forms. I'm quite sure there exist
examples for this, and I'm quite sure others on the list find them
faster than me :)
