Hi Eirc, They are replacement files for the distribution files of the same name.
To expand on Frank's admonitions however. If you don't have the standard distribution it is likely you will have a functioning installation of office after the replacement. You do not mention which OS you are running OOo under so I will pass on my experience on this. Currently I have 2 PC's running linux here - 1 Kubuntu 64bit and on this I run the ubuntu distro of OOo ( usually ), the second Kubuntu 32bit and I run the standard OO.o dirtro. On the 64bit machine using the Ubuntu distribution the files are located where you show, /user/lib/openoffice.org/program but some file names are actually changed. libdba680li.so is named libdba680lx.so - replacing this file with the patched file would guarantee a non-functioning office here. While on the 32bit machine, using a vanilla OO.o installation replacement for the distribution version, the location changed. This installation is located at /opt/openoffice.org2.4/program. Replacing the files with the patched versions worked without a problem. Even so, for both this Linux machine and my XP machine I renamed the original files first and then added the patched files, so that I could undue the change easily.
