So, is it all black? Or, as you say many Alerts popup, than you should see alerts each one on top of others? What error is within Alerts?
What is OS with the IE that is not working? OS/browser Connection limits? Although I think, if there are such limits, Flex queues calls. Maybe uncaughtErrorHandler give you some security errors? error 2032 maybe? Try to rewrite your loading code somehow else. BTW It is hard to read it here as a post message. If there is an option, try to rewrite loading code in a way so it reports to you (on your server script) loading proccess? Like remote logging.
