I introduced a friend to LibreOffice and ever since I've become some sort of support personnel. Her office is downstairs, mine is above. Now there's a new problem and I lack the experience. I never did any such thing in M$-Word too.

She wants two pages to print on one paper (like having two A5 page texts showing on one A4 paper). She wants it visible on screen with page numbers showing for both sheets -- one on left and the other on right side of the ONE mother page. She claims its possible in M$-Word and I believe her. So, is this feature in LibreOffice-writer or is this where I put up an apologetic speech? Can someone save me the embarrassment ... Please?

Could you do this with two columns on landscape orientation? No sequential page numbers, though.

Bob, my test with an old OOo document had it showing a number sequence with left and right side numbering. This worked fine with printing 2 pages per sheet and each of the pages show kept their numbering. Now if you want to have sheet numbering, instead of page numbering, then it seems not to be a valid option.

I still so not know the ins and outs of doing left and right footer page numbering, except what was shown when I looked at odd and even pages in the Format > Page option. But, if the person wants page numbering for each page shown on the sheets, it does work fine.

Here is a 2 page printout [pages 10 and 11] showing my test page printed to CUPS-PDF. Export to PDF within writer does not show the ability of 2 pages per sheet.
