Have you tried to uninstall 3.4.x (and perhaps restart Windows) *before* installing 3.5.0?
I have thought of that as well, but had not taken time to do that.
Keep the Tom's suggest to wait the 3.5.1 or 3.5.2 if you are not a power user.
I did beta-testing for older OO-versions, I'm not afraid. ;-) I'll wait for 3.5.1. though.
