Hi :) Revo Uninstaller has a free trial period and they think that you will find it so invaluable that you will purchase it after 30days or whatever. Personally i intend to try it once, completely declutter the Xp and then uninstall it. I have ended up buying a few things that way. Perfectdisk was a classic example.
Have you been able to check the 3.5.x's md5sum or Sha-whatever to check that you have a proper error-free download?|Did you download from the official TDF page or some other website? (many other sites also offer the official download but it's not always so easy to check the 3rd party has got it right on their site) http://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If you try to re-run the 3.5.x installer it 'should' offer a choice of 3 options which includes "Repair" as the top option. I found that useful for adding in components that i hadn't thought i would need. I must admit that i tend to use Gnu&Linux myself and only use Windows very occasionally now and mostly that is just to fix whatever problem one of my colleagues has run into.
