Hi :) Sometimes migrating to a new system means being a bit imperfect to start with but then tighten-up down the road a bit.
Microsoft have a vested interest in making sure that ODF appears to be problematic so that people are pushed into using their own formats. However they are a bit stuck right now because everyone else who tries seems to find it easy to implement ODF = it's only MS Office that has trouble with it. On the other hand everyone else, and even MS themselves, seem to have trouble trying to implement the MS OOXML formats.
