We use same setup (Radiolinja CIMD2 and Kannel 1.1.5) and have same kind
of problems. It seems that the keepalive parameter, if set to 5 for
example, hangs the smsc -> kannel conection after the idle time runs
out. Atleast no incoming messages get through until kannel is restarted
(havent tried waking it by sending from kannel). I solved this by
setting keepalive to 0, so the connection to smsc is refreshed if it
stays idle.
