Will Nokia 3310 works as SMSC ??

Hello Users,   I am newbie to the Kannel world. I am trying to install Kannel as SMS gateway. The fakesmsc test also work fine. I had connected Nokia 3310 to com port. I had search group but didnt find clear information about which series of phone are working fine. my question is will Nokai 3310 work as SMSC?
