Kannel is a open-source project, people are ginving support an d developing software for free.
You should be happy that there is this kind of project.

If you don't have skills to solve problems, better ask Your employee to get some commercial software with guarateed support, open source is not for production environments without skilled administrator !!!


Do not mix up open source != commercial. He should ask his employee to finance a payed consulting/support for this software. BTW he can get support for it wherever he wants (or just aks the developers what they want for a day of support)- Open source has nothing to do with the skill level of the admin or to use/not to use in production environments. Our company runs and develops professional open source projects only - and we are payed for consulting all around them. Free does not mean cheap software, it offers much more to the customer (fast development, bugfixes and on-the-edge solutions) - but if it gets deeper than the mailinglist can provide help for, our customers pay for it. Open does not mean cheap!

I always try to get help from mailinglists and foras and I try to give my 2cents back to the community wherever it is possible, but if I need a fast and immediate response or a solution for a special problem - take the money and give it to a guy/girl. This is professional, too - do not spend 10 days waiting, take the 200 Euros and within 1 hour it is working. If you can wait - take your time and try to find the solution in a mailinglist. But there it is helping each other in a friendly and polite way.

What have you contributed for this project to claim "imeddiately" support rom others ?

I think in every mailinglist you are allowed to get ask questions - perhaps without helping another. But you're right, this behaviour is in a way impolite towards all those that spend their free time (like the developers and all others idleing here) trying to help each other.


And please don't spam same message several times.

particular problem emmediatly.but why you guys won't answer such questions ??? Is there any place or forum to get a help for kannel issues ????
