alright , in your source directory , go to gw/ folder , then you can see all the sample configurations. smskannel.conf is there.
and also follow the steps in the kannel user guide.http://kannel.org/download/1.4.0/userguide-1.4.0/userguide.html#SMS-GATEWAY
you can give any name for the file , but within the proper configurations.

First i would like to say that i am newbie in kannel and not so advance in linux.
I have tried to install kannel (gateway 1.4.0), i just follow from instruction from user guide. So first i store my gateway 1.4 on /tmp.
Then i use :
./configure
make
make install BINDIR=/usr/gw
all of them seems to be successful.
According to user guide, i must configure the kannel.conf file. But i cannot find that file. Any body know where kannel store that file ? actually my question is what i must do after install and does my installation correct ?
