two things:
1) yes, kannel can handle the load with no problem (Intel Xeon 2,6MHz),
the question is if you will after kannel has done it's part :)
2) for which country are you going to run the voting? i ask you this
because in the past couple of year we where doing this for Greece and
that is why i can assure you that kannel is capable of handling this
kind of traffic :)

PS btw, i was under the impression we are going to support the event
this year also but this is just an impression i have :)
