I am wanting to add WAP and SMS services to our base of operations
which currently include Asterisk for open-source telephony. Here's
what I don't get from the initial documentation I have read about
Kannel: - where Asterisk requires some kind of physical telephony
interface to connect to the Plain Old Telephone System (POTS), how
does one connect to the WAP and SMS of the major global cell phone
providers using Kannel- do they use IP, or do you need a physical
telephony interface of some kind? Is there documentation or a site
that covers this topic already?
