Same issue...
Set the DLR-MASK to 24 and kannel just echos back to the DLR-URL if
the message was ACK or NACK.
But this only indicates if the message was stored by the smsc you are
connected to. If you really want to know if it was delivered, set the
full DLR-mask. Please take a look at the manual, ch.9

You cannot receive a transaction id from kannel, you have to provide
on.
When you send the message to kannel, you give it transid "12345",
then add to your DLR-URL: http://localhost/dlr.php?trans=12345
Dear manual maintainers (are there any??): Could we please add this
the next FAQ in the manual? The question was around here a hundred
times...
