Hi Rene,

The command "AT+CMGF=0" gives me an "OK" message.

Regards,

Joey

Is the modem initialized with AT+CMGF=0? Or does that line give an error
message?

Hi Alvaro,

I have set my modem log to debug and got the following error messages occurring
(This is just a summary):

1.    2012-05-08 09:06:42 [615] [6] ERROR: AT2[SMS1]: could not decode PDU to a
message.

2.    2012-05-25 08:01:58 [621] [6] ERROR: AT2[SMS1]: got +CMT but waiting for
next line timed out

3.    2012-05-25 08:09:17 [621] [6] ERROR: AT2[SMS1]: Generic error: ERROR

4.    2012-05-25 11:31:34 [621] [6] ERROR: AT2[SMS1]: got +CMT but pdu_extract
failed

5.    2012-05-25 11:31:34 [621] [6] ERROR: AT2[SMS1]: CMTI notification
received, but no message found in memory!

6.    2012-05-25 11:31:34 [621] [6] ERROR: System error 1: Operation not
permitted

Error message number 3 ("Generic error: ERROR") occur the most and I believe
this is the message I get when the SMSC rejects messages.

This is my config:

group = smsc

smsc = at

smsc-id = SMS1

modemtype = wavecom

device=/dev/ttyS1

speed = 115200

group = modems

id = wavecom

name = Wavecom

detect-string = "WAVECOM"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Joey

Hi

Never tried. I use the following setup and never had a problem with

the modem rejecting the messages. Kannel had always followed modem

speed... Maybe when using message-storage=ME.

group = smsc

smsc = at

smsc-id = mo4

modemtype = "Enfora"

speed = 115200

log-level = 0

log-file = "/var/log/kannel/x2p6_mo4.log"

allowed-smsc-id = mo4;mo

sim-buffering = true

keepalive = 60

max-error-count = 8

group = modems

id = Enfora

name = Enfora

detect-string = "Enfora "

init-string = AT+CNMI=2,1,2,1,0; +CMEE=2; +CSAS; +CGMR

message-storage = SM

keepalive-cmd = AT+CSQ;+CMEE=2;+CSCS="8859-1"

reset-string = AT$RESET

need-sleep = true

Else a log might show if the error comes from his carrier and not the modem...

Joey: can you set your modem log to debug and post it here?

Regards

Alvaro
