Hi
>From kannel side you can use any phone/usb dongle/modem as long as it
supports GSM AT Commands.
Obviously, it will need to have a sim card that can work in the country
where you are. It's finally your gateway to the cell network. Usually it is
better to have a sim from the country where you are to get better prices.
Else you might get roaming extra charges.
Also keep in mind that you should sign for a plan with your operator that
would allow you to send the amount/type of messages you expect to have.
Some operators have "unlimited" plans but are supposed to be in "fair use"
ie you can't spam people or send commercial type sms. If you do so, you
will have your account disabled.
Hope helps
Regards
Alvaro
