You can program them from an iPhone/Android with the right program, I installed it once and used it. I forget the name of the app. I found it more cumbersome than using something like Chirp. You have to create an account to have full functionality of the app, but I entered channels manually without an account. That particular app of course connects via bluetooth. You can also use the BT to clone one to another H3. I'm playing around with a TIDradioH3 which has both bluetooth programming and a dedicated usbc connection for programming. Curious if Chirp has usb to usb programming capability or bluetooth capability.
