I don't know of any risks.
I had a little trouble with this. I think it was because /boot + / added up to over 1 TB. After fumbling around, I got /boot down by 1 GB. That did it, though 1/2 GB is wasted. No big deal.
So you did make a separate /boot? If you had made the partitions in order, the last one would have used the rest of the space automatically.
You can use the live USB boot and gparted to resize the partition to fill the rest of the space if you want.
