I've now installed F43 in a QEMU VM to test the 6.18 kernel to see if
it provides support my wifi device on my motherboard, rather than
install it natively and destroy my system as I did a couple of days
ago when trying to get things to work with that kernel, and I noticed
with the install that QEMU only allows legacy boot mode when loading
the iso for the live DVD to do the install, is that normal?
When you're creating the VM, check the box for "Customize
configuration before install". Then in the Overview section, change
the firmware selection to one of the UEFI ones.
Thanks Samuel, I'll try that. The legacy bios grub menu build message is
disconcerting because the message makes it look like the VM is running
in 32 bit mode.
