thanks for your response. Your persistence while dealing with highly
complex software stacks is truly remarkable. The step-wise methodology
you mentioned (testing the waters with chroot on FreeBSD first) seems to
be key. It goes without saying that your agenda is completely in line
with mine. I love the prospect of developing Genode on Genode without
cheating (aka using a Linux VM).
If everything goes according to your plan of covering those 50 tools and
libraries, we gain - as a welcome side effect - plenty for real-world
porting examples in Genode world, which in turn will make further
porting activities easier and easier over time.
Apart from this main theme, do you think it's realistic to update the
Chromium engine sometime this year as well? I think it would be really
nice to have genode.discourse.group well supported with our native browser.
