Well, it's up with a functioning desktop, but I have no networking. Whatever firmware is apparently not loading.
On my Chromebook I get this in dmesg: mwifiex_sdio mmc2:0001:1: WLAN FW already running! Skip FW download mwifiex_sdio mmc2:0001:1: WLAN FW is active I don't see any other messages about WiFi firmware loading.
Modules and firmware are where they should be, according to the wiki writeup. ifconfig -a only shows loopback adapter. Heck, it doesn't look like any modules are loading.
My lsmod shows this: # lsmod Module Size Used by uvcvideo 59681 0 videobuf2_vmalloc 2732 1 uvcvideo isl29018 6412 0 industrialio 14340 1 isl29018 joydev 8277 0 sbs_battery 6441 0 btmrvl_sdio 7952 0 btmrvl 11681 1 btmrvl_sdio bluetooth 165503 3 btmrvl_sdio,btmrvl mwifiex_sdio 11488 0 mwifiex 103347 1 mwifiex_sdio cfg80211 159064 1 mwifiex spidev 4304 0 Can you try manually modprobing mwifiex and see what it says? I dont have anything chromebook specific in my /etc/modprobe.d/ or /etc/sysconfig/modules, other than the documented hwclock fix.
