Hi,

I also got a U3 since a couple of days.
I started out with the Ubuntu image (I somehow overlooked a fedora
image). With the kernel from there and a redsleeve image I got up and
running quite quickly.

I did not encounter the bouncing CPU issue with kernel 3.8.13.28 of Dec
3. (yes, I think they make different kernels with the same version number)

When I got it al working, I made some rpms of the binary kernels from
http://builder.mdrjr.net/ which seems to be the authoritative source for
such things. These can be found here:
http://cdn.opensxce.org/redsleeve/el6/odroid/

And to make it all quicker for the next one trying, I made an image to
start with:
http://cdn.opensxce.org/redsleeve/el6/rootfs/odroidu3-redsleeve-cli-0.1.img.xz

main drawback of this image is that X11 is not yet working. (I also did
not seriously try. The only screen with native HDMI in the house is the
TV, which is quite often not available for my tests :). The Odroid seems
not to like HDMI->DVI and HDMI->VGA adaptors)
I guess however, that following something similar to the mali_update
function in http://builder.mdrjr.net/tools/kernel-update.sh will get you
up and running with X11.
