Hi All,

I took a trip over to

  http://audacious-media-player.org/index.php?title=Downloads

and found that Audacious is up to revision 1.5.1. Ours
is still on 1.3.2, which would explain a lot of problems,
like not playing modern MP3s.

How exactly do you think modern mp3s differ from older mp3's? The mp3
format is a standard, which in theory should rule out any difference
beyond encoding quality.

No clue. VLC read these MP3 perfectly.

Where did these 'modern' mp3's come from?

grip-3.2.0-2.el5.rf

How are you sure that a version bump will fix your issues?

I don't. But, looking at the age of our version, I would
bet on it.

I attempted to install the tar ball (./configure && make && make install) but got:

    configure: error:
    Glib2 version 2.12.3 was found, but glib-2.0 >= 2.14.0 is required.

So, I can not prove it. Which is why I am asking for an updated
RPM: you guys are so, so much better at dependencies than I.

Please consider it.
