Grip is not under any sort of development for ages. (4 years at least)

It seems to me you are doing some some sort of corporate management
thing and just point out a scapegoat to explain your problem instead of
investigating the real issue.

And grip does almost nothing by itself. What did you do with the tools
it is using to actually make the MP3 files?

So go back and investigate the true reasons your MP3 files are now screwed.
