I'd seen that before and had been working on eliminating it, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from... looks like I had maven.repo.remote in both my project.properties and my build.properties... and I was editing the wrong one trying to get rid of the slash.
That seems to have cleared it up, but I can't figure out exactly why. Thanks for all the help!
