I'm sorry if you mistook it as a troll, it was just a personal opinion.
~ I was also trying to offer some feedback.  I think maven will blossom
into a great build and package maintenance system (like emerge or CPAN).
I just feel right now I can accomplish everything I need in ant w/ the
same amount of hassle.

If a project is starting from scratch, maven definitely has more appeal.
~ We have a bunch of ant targets already written, so we're just sticking
to it (for now).
