Thanks for your response. Adding the jar as an extension in the build was the original option I chose, as was detailed in the Maven tutorial. I think i've tried all combinations, but maybe it doesn't find the jar file

When I generate the jar file the META-INF folder isn't generated so maybe that is the problem.
