Hi, I am about to start a new webapp project and have to decide on the technology. I have done some prototyping in struts2 with spring and hibernate, but was not really amused by the action mapping effort that has to go into it, nor with the way struts2 handles ui forms.
So I am back pondering upon using JSF 2.0. After reading the articles, I can believe that scalability should not be a problem. But since I am very new to the technology, I would appreciate an explaination on the following: - What is MyFaces? - What is Facelets? - Should I use seam? - Should I use spring? - possible pitfalls? Do's an dont's. - I have a project in JSF 1.2. Is it easy to port it to JSF 2.0? What would be the benefit?
