Now that i've got my swap working I have to ask, is it normal that after right clicking a few mispelled works the memory load from soffice.bin is 712MB? That's huge! As soon as I stop the app my mem and swap usage drops by two thirds...
just another data point I have seen my office to run out of memory in last few months as well. latest observable case was 500mb.
all I was doing was full-screen text writing.. and it was not much text, maybe few pages at most.
that are all stable releases of oo writer in past half of year or so, as distributed with redhat fedora core 3.
