Guess it is obvious how long ago I started using OOo. Issue Tracker, huh? I don't remember the part about having to be a project member, either.
I had to go look. MSO97, does not include this "feature" which was my only prior experience with that product. As a result I've never missed it and find that adding a column > selecting the column to move > cutting and pasting the contents > deleting the old column is quite natural and quick.
it's not that quick if you have to move 30 columns...
of course, adding ability to insert multiple columns/rows would help, but reaaranging them is pretty common wish.
As for the age and geek coefficient cop-outs, you have nothing on me chronologically. I do admit to being more than a little geeky for a guy that runs a (tiny) construction company, but we all have our crosses.
Having cleared the air on all that, I'll gladly submit your RFE and post the number here. You have to promise to vote for it. I'll be checking. ;-)
