Greeting,
I have a Red Hat 8.0 system. Recently, when trying to launch OpenOffice Writer and Calc, nothing seem to happen. No Open Office logo. No error message on GUI screen, no droppings in /var.
I went to $HOME/.openoffice and tried launching from the command line (bash shell, login as ME, su to root)
[.openoffice]$ ./soffice /usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libucbhelper1gcc3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I have not been monkeying around with the linked files other than making a copy of 'libz.so' to repair a 'boo-boo' on another system.
Where did the 'libucbhelper1gcc3.so' go?? Where can I find a replacement copy? Is it 'linked' to another filename?
Thanks
