Well, now IT WORKS! This is what I did: I completely removed ALL OO from my system. I re-installed OO with the -net option into /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1.4 as usual. I copied the uno-zip thing from writerperfect into /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1.4/shared/unopackages... I changed the rights of the uno zip thing so that it's readable by everyone. I dropped from root to my own account. I installed a workstation copy into my own home-dir, just as one would normally do. Fired up OO. And it works - just perfectly!! Thank You Ever So Much!
