OpenOffice will certainly run on your laptop. I don't agree with Toshiba's
installing a Server version though. Did they install Server 2003 or Windows
2000 Server? I think that might just make things more complicated for you. As
with any version of Windows its important that you get the microsoft updates
and run anti-virus that can update itself. This last part is important even if
you only occasionally get online. If you happen to actually be running Server
2003 you will really need to be careful to get Microsoft updates.
If you don't know how to get check and get updates - open Internet Explorer
and visit windowsupdate.microsoft.com. You have to you IE for this.
