Change to the 'slides' view (right-click on a slide and use the context menu or click 'view / workspace / slides view'. Select all the slides (ctrl-a) and set the transition to 'automatic'. There's a picklist that, for me, is right below the 'save' icon.
It's not possible to have a sound file play through the entire slide show. You'll have to run the music behind the show in another program.
