Hi Javier, I guess I'm using wrong terminology! I bought the CD on the auction, I tried to install it. I went to Control panel, to Add or Remove Programs, The info came on the screen: Java, Open Office, and other programs as promised. I clicked on Install Open Office and nothing happens.
I don't know about the CD, so I can't help you with it :(.
> I also tried downloading from the website, It ask what
location I was in: USA in colleges etc. I am none of those locations so what do I choose? So
Any will do.
Choose one geographically near to you. But it doesn't really matter wich one you choose.
After that you will have a compressed .zip file in your computer. You will have to decompress it before be able to install. There are a couple of utilities to do that. If you use windows XP you just need to double-click the file.
After that locate a setup.exe file and double-click in it. That should install openoffice.
If you find any problem, please write back to the list [email protected]
Javier.
