its 1.1 and it initially comes up in html doc but it does not matter what format I save it in when i try to save it in its original file name with more data it comes back with "unable to back up" error.
I will down load apparantly a later version with your suggestion from your website.

Excellent idea to download the latest stable release, 1.1.4, this will ensure that you have the latest bug fixes.
Another things to try would be to go to *Tools > Options > Load/Save > General* from the menu bar and uncheck the make a backup copy. Maybe this is somehow causing the error.
