Is this a problem only with PDFs or does it occur if you do a Print Preview of the document too?

I've come across a problem where if you have page styles set to Right and Left, whenever you insert a manual break with page style change, IF the new page would've been on the left (in a traditional double-sided book), a blank page will be inserted so that the new page would appear on the right. This is doubtless useful for those writing a document that'll end up as a traditional double-sided book, but a pain to me :-)

Bruce Byfield helped me out with that problem, with this sage advice -

I believe that this behavior only happens when you are using the Left and Right page styles. Create an Even style from Left and an Odd style from Right and use them instead, and you shouldn't have any more problems.
