With respect to your message, infra: I confess ignorance with respect to
Win98 or greater, but if one is VERY careful and persistent MSIE can
be removed from a Win95 installation--at least to the extent that it
never bothers you again.

The process was for me one of trial-and-error, and required about 2
years
of effort to effect its removal; however, there remain a couple of
lost DLLs that prevent me from using certain software since those DLLs
are called by said software-- a small price to pay in my humble opinion.

In any event, this was the reason I mentioned the note originally.

Nonetheless, I very much appreciate your input.
