Step by step:

1) Set the page size of your *document* to 8 1/2 tall by 5 1/2 wide. You can have as many pages as you like, it doesn't have to be a multiple of 4. OOo will sort out what should be printed next to what (eg with an 8 page document, 1 next to 8, 2 next to 7 etc). 2) File|Print. Now under Properties make sure the *paper* is set to 11 by 8 1/2 landscape. Under options tick "left pages" and "brochure". Print. 3) Pick up the pile of pages, turn it over top to bottom (not left to right) and replace in printer. Repeat (2) but with "right pages" ticked instead of "left pages"

Hope that helps

Andy

On a WindowsXP computer using 1.9.100, how is a book
fold document created. A regular 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of
paper is used that is folded so that (with printing on
both sides of the sheet) four 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 "pages"
are printed.
