To add to what Doug wrote, Outlook Express (OE) requires MS Word
for spell checking. By requiring Word to spell check words in OE, MS
hopes to sell more MS Word programs (and probably more MS Office).
My suggestion to you is this: Write what you want to send with OE
as a text file in OOo. Use OOo's spell checker. Then cut and paste it
into an OE message. Send as usual.
