Thanks - I've already made use of the "easy way", quite adequate in 
this case.

Hmmm. I'm not sure that mentions bugs  :-)  Page 288 (in my copy of 
the users_guide2_draft) seems the relevant page. 

I'm not entirely convinced by the quality of Impress, I must say. 
This is only the second time I've really done anything serious with 
it; both times I've been bitten by nasty bugs - the above; text 
disappearing after a transition; characters shuffling sideways after 
appearing on screen; jerkiness in transitions; menu problems. Some 
one can live with or work around (like this one), some are killers 
(eg missing text). I'm hoping v3 will show some improvements!
